I'm just looking at flights for around the 1st of November to Bangkok. Flying with 2 other people I've met on here.
What are your plans from Bangkok?

Where will you be flying from? Would be good to meet up with you guys if still in Bangkok.
Im thinking of flying up to Chiang Mai initially and then travelling back down through Thailand and to head down to Ko Tao to do my PADI and then onto The full moon party. My flight onto Oz is booked for the 5th Dec from Singapore over to Melbourne.

You don't have very long then! Flying from London, you? Yeah I expect we will be in Bangkok for a few days so we'll have your drink ready and waiting!haha
Plans so far is to travel the north of Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia then back to Thailand and then Malaysia. We want to go to the full moon party on Christmas Day so we will have to go back on ourselves at some point! Then flying around the 27/28th December to Sydney for NYE!
How long are you in Australia for?

Yea, only a month at the moment but I have unlimited changes on my flight ticket so if I do fancy staying longer I can. I'm just going to see how it goes really. Yea my plan is to be in Sydney for NYE driving up from Melbourne on the 27th I think. Have you looked at flights for Sydney? I rekon it might be quite expensive at that time?
Yea Im flying with Emirates from Heathrow, it stops for a few hours in Dubai on the way and get into Bangkok at about 8am. I guess its good to arrive in the morning than be searching for somewhere to stay and arriving at night.

Actually just been looking at flights...not too expensive £730ish for London to Bangkok then Bangkok/Kuala Lumpur to Sydney. Undecided where to fly out from! That's with Malaysia airline..not sure what they are like though! I was going to book my first night in Bangkok?! Is it better to wait until I arrive then?!
You should look at visiting Vietnam while you are there! Seems silly to miss that one out!
I've been looking at Base for NYE, on sta travel its £220ish for 7nights, not too bad compared with some of the prices the hostels are trying to charge! Then head up the east coast! Are you just travelling or working as well?

Yea my original plan was to go to Vietnam aswel, but Im planning on being with family for Crimbo in Melbourne.... So I was thinking it may be a bit of a rush to do Vietnam aswel. Im definitely not set on the plans though and if Im enjoying Asia I may stay longer
Thats a pretty good price for the flight, is that one way? I should be able to do it without working, but I think I might end up working just to meet people really! Are you going on anywhere after Oz?
I think you've got the right idea booking Bangkok hostel before you go. If theres a few of you guys, it would be good to come and meet you x
Yeah definitely go if you can fit it in! Ah you should go to the full moon party Christmas Day! Probably won't spend Christmas like that again
Yeah it's one way as unsure how long I'm going to stay in oz, thinking of getting my 2nd year visa but would like to go to New Zealand at some point so just going to see how it all works out!

I'll let you know what hostel we book for Bangkok, Kao San Road looks the best place to be for the first few nights!
Yea it seems to be where most people head to. I'll have a little look at some No I've not booked one yet, Im toying with idea of getting a camper in Melbourne and driving it up to Sydney for NYE and then thats gives me a bed probably a bit cheaper than a hostel.... But I guess it'd be good to meet people at the hostel to party with!
Are you going to be working and travelling?
Campervan is a good idea to save money! I think I'd rather stay in a hostel, best way to meet people! Especially for New Year's Eve! Well if you do get a campervan you can always come back and meet the group again for another drink!ha
Yeah I'm going to travel for abit then start working, see how far my savings get me!
