i was planning on heading out to Australia alone in september '13. But i think id have a better experience if i had a friend to head out there and live it with.

I'm planning on heading over round the end of August time. Not sure exacty where im gonna start but im defo planning on being in Sydney for NYE.
Got the bank details in the post today, dono weather im getting excited or nervous...
Have you any idea where you wanna start/see/do??

Yeah i was hoping to be in Sydney for NYE too. im waiting till i book my flights till i get all my other details sorted, which should hopefully be by the end of the month.
My rough plan, is to start in Perth. Though im debating starting elsewhere to be in sydney for NY. Think i want to travel and see the sights and then settle down to work maybe in Melbourne or Brisbane for a bit.

Hi I am planning to go to Oz in September, I am now going solo as all my friends have other commitments, I am really nervous about doing this alone and would love a travel buddy to share the excitement with.
I have normal set plan on cities but would also love to be in Sydney for new year and I also like the look of cairns

I've 2 ideas going on at the moment...1 start in Cairns get the regional work out of the way and ten head to Sydney for NYE and 2 head straight to Sydney and stay there and work till January and then make my way up the east coast...i dont have the flights sorted either. Hopfully by the end of april but that will decide what im going to do :-) is it your first time going travelling??

Heyyy! I know, I never realised how many people actually do it solo! I know that when I touch down in Oz alone I will just think eeeeeeeeeek!!! Lol

I'm open to suggestions and don't even mind having no plan at all until I get there.
Yeah, its just an out line tbh..iv not much of an idea work/timeframe/destinations that'll be a 'i feel like going here today' situation :-) is it your first time heading away too yeah??

I arrive in Sydney on August 29th, debating oz intro but don't know whether to save my money!
I plan to stay in Sydney until January to work and save, then travel elsewhere, no actual plan though !
