Are you gonna stay in Thailand the whole month of July? I've been thinking about travelling around Thailand during July and maybe August as well and would love to meet some people to travel with as i am a bit scared about travelling alone, never done it before..
What are your plans and how old are you?

Yeah I want to spend all of July in Thailand then I'm thinking of going to Australia at the beginning of August..
I have never travelled alone before either, I am quite scared as well, but I really want to meet people along the way to travel with!
I don't really have any definite plans at the moment, I was hoping to go with the flow and see where Bangkok takes me! I just want to travel and do as much as I can and have an amazing experience. Do you have any plans?
I'm 24 years old, living in Devon. How about you?

I got to thailand about 2 weeks ago. Im fortunate to be coming here for work but I am also solo. I made the mistake of going to Bangkok for 4 nights and hated it. I did meet some really cool people but as a solo traveller its an over whelming place although I guess it depends what you like or are use too. I thought it was very dirty and over croweded and money grabbing, the feel good vibe wasnt there for me. I did have some fun though so dont get me wrong. khaosan is an experiance and there are some awesome temples but if you travel alone getting about can be a headache. I stayed in a few hostels, Lub d silom which was a great way to meet people and had a laugh and suneta hostel just of khoasan. Perfect position but less busy. again I met some cool people.

Thanks for all of the advice, I have already looked at Lub d silom so I will definitely check that out when I am there!
I'm not sure how long I will stay in Bangkok for, it's just something that I felt I had to experience! I am going to keep an open mind and see where I end up. The main reason I am travelling is to meet lots of new, cool and exciting people. So hopefully I will be okay when I am there.
