As for when it will start snowing, errr, that's like asking someone to predict the next set of jackpot-winning lottery number

Most Christmas markets start mid November and run through to Christmas. As for snow, well there should be some Early to mid September......at least there has been for the past couple of years, but it is anyones guess!!!

Sorry that should read December not September

thank you so much for your information, it was very helpfull. I didnt know that there are christmas markets that start even at november, but my guess is that the good ones are on december.
My innitial plan was going to Innsbruck on Nov 8th and i thought maybe there will be some snow in the city but it looks like there wont be any. hope there will be in the surroundings atleast or atleast i hope it wont be raininig

The markets are the same ones, and they all started in mid/late November. This way one can enjoy Christmas markets for longer, and without having to rush within short period of time in December to do all the shopping!

You will always find snow in the mountains at that time of year. We will there later in November as well!!
