Hey people,
You'll definatley still need a sunscreen for daily wear in NZ in Autumn and winter... like Australia, NZ is right under a hole in the ozone layer and you get burn easily! If you want to wear it under make up, I'd suggest rying to get a moisturiser that has a high SPF included in the blend - you'll pay a bit more for it, but you probably won't have the 'cake' problems you were mentioning.
Normally I don't wear sunscreen in winter.
SPF 50 doesn't do much. I normally use SPF 30 and it's fine and I don't get burnt in the places where I've applied it. I tend to get the cancer society brand ones.
Wear a cap or a hat during the summer and sunnies because it's the sun that's hot. Normally in the shade, it's a few degrees cooler, especially if there's a wind blowing.
hmm, i use la roche posay everyday 50 + because of pigmention dots.. it's really ''fatty'', but i use i.d minerals over, and don't think it gets cakey or anything.. but i always wait till it dries, before applying make up
Hey gals,
Thanks! I have been using SPF 50+ here in NZ and it seems alright... not oily...
I am not wearing any 2 way cake over it as I really cannot be bothered anymore for this backpacking trip haha!
