As a Canadian I will be applying for a UK work holiday visa, with hopes of finding work to support my stay in the UK and fund further European travel. I have heard a rumor that the Schengen Visa 90/180 day rule is exempt for UK work holiday visa holders but I can't find any reputable resources to support that claim.
No. Very firm no.
EU citizens are exempt from this rule. Also partially exempt are people who hold a WHV for one of the Schengen states. The UK is not part of Schengen, so no chance.
