Good thing actually. Leg space is not much anyway, so if the seat also reclines I usually don't have much left (I am 1.90m). Also, the reclining is so little that it doesn't really help if you want to sleep anyway.
And doesn't Spirit Airlines mostly do short trips? Reclining is not important, leg space is!
For me reclining seats are more important than leg room - as I'm only 5ft 1" I always have plenty of leg room anyway, but if the seats don't recline it's less comfortable and I can't sleep as easily. On a Pacific Blue flight from Bali to Australia recently I was in the emergency exit seats where you get more leg room but none - reclining seats and as a result had a sleepless, uncomfortable journey!
Allegiant Air does not have reclining seats either. But they do have some of the more comfortable ones I've sat in in recent years. They are better cushioned and the seat backs have build-in headrests along the sides. Much better than the little pillow thing most seats sport. They made the switch so people felt they had added legroom. The seats are also upholstered with a faux leather rather than an ugly scratchy material. I like the fact that the person in front of me can't all of a sudden move the back just as I'm trying to pour a beverage or eat my meal - having one or both try to slide into my lap. Of course, the person is never quite satisfied with just the full recline and leave it alone... No, they have to keep readjusting it back and forth until successfully obtaining partial/complete food/beverage launch.
I'm one who doesn't recline my seat on most flights anyway as the majority are usually 4 hours or less. It's honestly not to accommodate the person behind me but more for my own comfort. I always get an antsy child or an adult constantly rummaging around in their stuff under my seat. This means, they are kicking or bumping the seat back regularly. It's worse when my seat is reclined. Then there's the "full speed ahead" recliner person in front of me who, just as I finally go for something in my stashed carry-on, rams the back into my head in an attempt to break my neck.

so its no big loss to me, the only thing that I have a problem with is the length of the trays which my cup sits on, is it me or are they extra long trays or is my belly too big
For short flights i dont have a problem, in fact some of the cheap flight companys take the trays and net bag at the back of the seat in front which seems to give you even more room. and you dont look like you have been wearing fish net stocking when you get off the plane.
although i would not lose my sleep over it - but i think on long trips it might be botersome

Meh at least it's cheap. I'll gladly lost 2 hours of comfort to save 20eur - that's a night's accomodation, easy
