Hey everyone
I am going to Melbourne and I am looking to work while I am there.. I am not really sure what to expect but someone told me about www.helpx.net its where you go and work on a farm/ big house and they put you up and feed you.. Some of them seem in remote places but I like that anyway.. I was thinking of going to one of these first and try and get a job while working on a farm...

Hi, welcome to Melbourne. (And Australia). Try For fruit picking in Victoria, March and April there's apple picking at Red Hill, which is on the Mornington Peninsula, Buckland Valley up near Bright, Stanley just south of Beechworth. The latter two are in country Victoria.

I have found Gumtree really useful for finding somewhere to live as well.. Its what I used to move into my current house and I am loving it that Australia use it as well....
