Hi all
Why should one want to camp in Indonesia, if you can have budget rooms for a few dollar?
Besides this, I think you'll attract much unwanted attention if you pitch your tent somewhere...
I have not been to Indonesia, but have to agree with Yves. Camping in hot, humid, 3rd world countries is not a smart idea. Most places in Indonesia have rooms for small money. I would stay in hostels or low end hotels and leave the tent at home.
I agree for not camping in indonesia as there are plenty of hostels to stay at.
Camping is only an option if there are no places to stay... eg most parts of Africa (only if temperature allows)
Hi,
With all the cheap homestays available throughout Indonesia it does not make sense to go camping.
The only camping travellers do in Indonesia is on a jungle trek on a guided trek.
Plus with the unbelievably hot weather you will need the use of bathroom quite often.
A cold water mandi a few times a day will keep you cool.

Hi all!
Camping in a hot place is not that bad, besides it's for people who loves adventure and wants to experience a different style in staying in indonesia. Try to camp near jakarta and experience the beauty of its natural resources like trees, animals and also the falls. It's a nice place stay while you are with your kids or friends.
