Can one add the route map into the side bar where the navigation and Latest Entries are situated?
Not really, but you can almost kinda fake it with CSS, as long as you only show one blog entry per page and always remember to include a map in each blogpost. I wrote down some instructions in .
This will also become possible when the redesign is launched. Although depending on the design I think it might sit on top of your entries, rather than in the sidebar.
