have you checked our own TP travelguide?
Some of the places you mention can only be reached by boat, but the ones to the south can also be reached by road although not sure about all of them.

The travel guide revelead that Dangriga has boat connections, which I hadn't found elsewhere, but I'm struggling for info on any potential connections from Belize City to Dangriga. And also if there's more than one boat a week from Dangriga to Punta Gorda...
We could easily do it by bus, but that's just not fun!
Maybe I need to start Googling in Spanish!

Googling in Spanish wouldn't be a giant help. Belize is an English speaking country.
