I'm flying to LA next week from the UK. On the way home I have to get my connecting flight in Chicago. I will fly from LA into Chicago on the Wednesday night and fly from Chicago to the UK on the Thursday afternoon. I'm flying with American Airlines and I was wondering if because my first flight (from LA to Chicago) will be internal will I not get the usual luggage allowance as an international flight? Also when I get off the flight in Chicago will I have to collect my luggage and then check it in again the next day because the connecting flight to the UK is on the Thursday afternoon? Or will AA automatically transfer my luggage for me?
