I'm doing the same thing as you and would love to get some advise too. I'm going for a month, flying into Cairns and flying out of Sydney. The Whitsundays is a big one for me and Fraser island too so i really want to get the right boat booked etc. you hear some horror stories !! It's over christmas so would it be wise to book now ?
Any advise will be welcome

not sure if a month is enough time, but i guess it depends on how quickly you will be moving place to place. im taking a whole year to see the whole east coast but im going to be taking my time moving around slowly. i hope you guys all have a great time out there too.
