Just wondered if anyone else was going to be there at the same time. If so, what are your travel plans? Considering using the greyhound bus service after being put off Oz experience by many bad reviews. Biggest worry is that I will end up being on my own for ages not really knowing where I am going or doing! Somone tell me I have nothing to worry about! Thanks

You have nothing to worry about. I did oz last year and I traveled up the east coast on a greyhound hop on hop off pass. this was great cause it allowed me to do long distances over night (not the best sleep but saved time and money on accom!). You will not be on your own for ages. especially once you do a few tours, like Fraser Island or the Whitsundays Sailing. You will meet so many people in all the hostels you stay and lots of them will be traveling the same way you are so its likely you'll meet people who are even planning to be on your greyhound bus (i had this experience frequently). So honestly, you will be perfectly fine! Traveling is easy and meeting people comes so easily when you are all living together. Just be friendly and dont be afraid to invite yourself out with new people you've just met. Its very rare for a group of backpackers to not want to have more people around.

Thanks, feeling a bit more confident now...with the tours, is it best to book them in advance or just find one when I get there? And I am going to be in oz for about 2 months, do you think i'll have enough to keep me busy for that long?
Yes, you will have plenty to do in the 2 months. Some of the Greyhoud passes allow you over 6 months to travel up the east coast. This seems to be the most common route, and I am doing the same thing in April. Starting in Sydney
yeah the pass i'm looking at is valid for 6. Oh cool, i'm srarting in Cairns, going to Melbourne. How long are you going to be out there for, and are you travelling alone?
