Im in patong currently and heading to koh phangan for new years eve full moon party.
where is the party focussed around?? ie which beach/area.
im currently on my own and seeing if anyone is also heading over there
I went koh phangan last new year.
Fullmoon Party in the had rin beach
if you like to diving should go Toa island
or Nangyuan island so beautiful.
The party is focused on Haad rin as Aengk said. I recommend you book early. We got there about 3 days before the full moon party and the affordable/good locations on Haad rin were booked. I ended up finding a place but it was literally a shit hole. I recommended staying on Haad rin if you really want to enjoy yourself. The energy is amazing and the party is non stop. It's not the same if your hostel is far from the island. Taking a cab every night to island is a hassle and if you rent a bike, you don't want to ride back drunk. The roads are steep. So yeah, I recommended finding a place on Haad rin.
