You'll totally have to crash the TP office in Melbourne. (I'm sure Peter will be by shortly to insist upon the same.)
In Sydney, if you haven't been yet on your previous visit, make sure to mosey over to Glebe for a wander along Glebe Point Road, sampling its many cafes, bakeries and bookstores. Also, the Chinese Garden of Friendship in Darling Harbour always remains one of my favorite places to drop by and just soak up some tranquility.
In Melbourne, head north for just exploring the neighbourhoods of Carlton, Fitzroy and up toward Brunswick. I always quite enjoyed a stroll through Royal Park toward the zoo as well, particularly around sunset when the lorrikeets go crazy. Beyond that, I can't really recommend much, though; Melbourne is a perfect city for living, but less exciting as a tourist. Its surroundings more than make up for that, though, so if you have the time, be sure to take a trip on the Great Ocean Road, and to go hiking in the Grampians, and at Wilson's Promontory.
Thanks Sander, I will be sure to do those things. I have been to Darling Harbour, but somehow managed to miss the Chinese Garden so I'd better go back and check it out - cheers!

I'm travelling out at the same time! Got no definite plans, but heading out to Sydney on the 7th March, then probably late March going down to Melbourne and then up the coast to Byron Bay!
