budget help for thailand

im going to thailand in the 18th of july and will arrive on the 20th
then to chaing mai on the 21st for roughly a week
then to laos for 4 days or so then back to thailand for the full moon august party
then back to bankok to fly to hanoi
make our way south to HMC to fly to bangkok then fly home

That's more than enough. I budget $50. a day, and I live like a king. I use a bank card - traveler's checks are too hard to cash. Do make sure that your PIN is all numeric as some of the Thai ATM keyboards do not have letters. ATM's everywhere, but it is best to use the ones at a bank in case of problems. (be sure to let your bank know about your travels - give them a copy of your itinerary - IMPORTANT!)

Don't miss the waterfalls in Luang Prabang. My favorite places are Hanoi, Sapa and Luang Prabang.

so $50 is more than enough for accom food and activities? is luang prabang close to where the tubing is in laos?

Vang Vien (Tubing), that is like, between the capital and Luang Prabang, so it's close.

Yes $50 should be adequate. Vang Vieng for the tubing is around 5 hours drive from Luang Prabang.
