Im 23 recently graduated and I have 3 months till my first job (feb, march, april) so i figured i spend em well. I want to go New Zealand(1 month) and Australia(2months). On the way ill make a stopover in Singapore to visit family. But what would you recommend start in New Zealand or Australia (considering weather and cheapest fly ticket from Europe (Holland).
I'd do New Zealand first (in February), as the weather tends to be really good then. You'll have to deal with it being high season, which means booking accommodation well in advance on the South Island. Then in Australia start in the south in March, so you only reach the north by April, once the wet season (which runs from December to March) is well and truly over.
You should be able to book this trip as a return flight to New Zealand, with a stopover in Singapore on the way there, and a stopover in Australia on the way back (might need an actual travel agent to book it that way, but it would basically mean you'd get Australia for free, minus any internal flights that you'd want to take).
Alternatively, KLM sometimes has decent deals partnering with Air New Zealand, which might just use Singapore as a hub (you'd have to look that up), and tickets New Zealand - Australia aren't that expensive.
