How much money would i need for 6 months in thailand ?
how easy is it to get a job in thailand ?
who would be up for doing this with me i would like to do some training out there in muay thai and MMA i know there are a couple good training camps out there.
if u can answer any of these questions it would be a get help

firstly i'd say it all depends on your lifestyle you will be leading in Thailand,if your spending alot of time in the south,Phuket,krabi,phi phi islands and out partying alot then your money will go nowhere..i usually live on about £1000 a month which is quite steep i know but then i like to go out most partying,have a moped for rent,eat well and stay in hotels,guesthouses...
However the further north you go the cheaper and less westernised everything is...Up in chiang mai and Chiang Rai you can get pretty decent rooms in guest houses for around 2-300 baht (£4-6) a night and the cost of living is much cheaper!!!
partying is the biggest killer in Thailand,if you can cut back on that then your money will go alot further..I know of people who have gone out there and lived off peanuts,literally £10-£15 a day,if your prepared to live in crowded,average hostels and eat as little as possible and stay away from partying this would be a fair budget!!
Also yes there are many mma/muay thai training camps,all the big cities have them,Bkk,Phuket,Ko Samui...but again there not as cheap as you might think...I joined a gym in samui and it cost me for a month more than it would back here in the uk...If your not on a tight budget though then no problem go for it..However since ive been back i decided to train on the beaches early in the mornings,plenty of cardio,sit ups and press ups and that does me..
Im going back in a few months and this time just plan to stay in Samui for a few months,ive a hotel room there for 200 quid a month,Samui has the best of both worlds,secluded beaches,nightlife,cheap food and is nowhere near as expensive as Phuket,but not as cheap as the north..Its pretty laid back and not as comercialised as other places in the south..
As for work ive tried several times to find something and came to the conclusion its pretty much impossible,unless your qualified in i.t or something similar and work for a western company its very hard to come accross work in Thailand,even in the bars in the built up areas you very rarely see any westerners working!!

You could teach english in schools and colleges if you can get a visa then depending how comfortably you want to live, you might not need very much money to start with. But if you gained more experience beforehand, you could get a more professional job (engineer, accountant etc)

Well a gap year organisation (for 17-19 year olds so it's probably not relevant to you) came to our school and they were talking about thailand as an example of one of their destinations. I think teaching's probably the most numerous job for Brits and other english speaking nationals and you wouldn't need very much in the way of qualifications. Alternatively, you could take part in a volunteering project (which could also involve teaching english or maths).
i will be visiting SE asia around the same time. what route are you planning to take?
at the tiger muay thai they have food plans and accomidations to suit all price ranges
how is the best way to go about the teaching as i am interested in this
