Driving trip from Chicago to Eastern Pennsylvania

We're heading east to visit family briefly in Ohio and then on to Pennsylvania. We are thinking about the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and also dining at one of Michael Simon's restaurants there. We are also hoping to stop in Gettysburg and tour the battlefield before heading to the Lehigh Valley to see family.

It seems your trip is all planned out... Normally people who post on this site have questions or are looking for suggestions regarding their upcoming travels.

I was in Pennsylvania a few years ago, but sadly, I didn't make it to Gettsburg. I will have to fix that in the future!

I am very new to this site, and I made the error of not pointing out that I was looking for ideas that are off the beaten track, or somewhere most people don't know about, rather than the typical tourist sites. We are taking 10 days to make this trip (or more) and need a couple of stops for the trip back west to Chicago.

My absolute favorite thing to do in Ohio is go to Cedar Point Amusement Park. I've been there so many times, the rides are the best and it is by far the best amusement park I have been to. A cool app you can check out is called onthewayapp.com where you can type in your starting point and destination and it will show you the food, activities, etc. to stop.

Gettsburg has both very interesting historical sites (obviously) and also great restaurants. The Rock and Roll museum is a must, but I didn't realize Michael Simon was from Cleveland. Sounds like a great trip--enjoy it and report back on the highlights.
