Hi Monzena, I have similar plans to you. I arrive in South America in November and traveling a bit of Brazil and northern countries with another friend till Dec 20 and then got no plans. I'm going to be there for about 9 months or so as well. I'm backpacking as well and on a budget. I'm planning on doing some volunteer work in Peru and Santiago as well. Get in touch if you are keen for a travel companion for some parts of the trip. Happy travels!
