Me and my gf booked our trip yesterday we are so excited we are getting in to sydney on the 16 and are staying till just after the new year. We think we are going to book base hostel dont know i you have heard if it is any good ?? Have you got any ideas/plans for NYE?

Ah congrats on booking yours yesterday!
I'm actually looking at staying at Base over the Christmas/ new year period -my only plans so far haha.
I've spoken to a colleague at work who highly recommends Base, I've had a look at the website too and it looks pretty good.
Are u guys going to book your hostel for Christmas/ New Years now? I wasn't sure whether to wait a bit or book now!

There's another thread on here somewhere with a load of people who are staying at Base for Xmas and New Year, I think it might be fully booked already!
Anyway, I'm arriving a bit earlier than you, going to do Ultimateoz around October but maybe see you at Xmas!

Yeah I have heard from our travel agent at STA that base and also wake up are good, we were intending to book base but I somehow have seem to have booked wake up hostel by mistake for 17 days from 16th dec lol, be careful if you go on there site as I think it is a bit mis-leading when enquiring!
I have seen & heard from alot of people that you should book hostels up asap for xmas and new year as they fill up so quickly, some of the ones we have looked at are already fully booked!
Have you thought/got plans/ideas for xmas & nye ?

I've just booked Base up now over Xmas and NYE and feel a lot better now that's sorted!
I have literally no plans or idea's for NYE yet!! Have u guys got any idea what you are going to be doing/ what there is to do/where there is to go?!
Yeh this is my first time travelling, is this yours and your gf's first time travelling too?
