Turkey... Thailand has gone so cliche. Well I am Asian and have been to Thailand so many times. But if I had more money... definitely choose Turkey or Greece. But it's like apples and oranges, Turkey and Thailand.
I have to say Thailand...
I cant even begin to think of why you might consider turkey or greece...knowhere in europe even comes close to any of the south east asian countries!!!
maybe im biased though because i do actually have a slight obsession with Thailand!!
I just returned from Istanbul and Tbilisi, and both are well worth the effort. Istanbul is alive and well - a very safe and most interesting destination with great food. I thoroughly recommend the walking tours to anyone interested in good food - $125. very well spent.
Tbilisi was the real gem of this trip, and anyone really interested in fine wines would be amiss to not include this most interesting city. Georgian food is much more homelike and heartier than Turkish - really like going back in time to the 1970's. Don't miss Georgia - the sleeper of all travel destinations in my opinion.
Bangkok and the rest of Thailand are also awesome, but in a totally different class from Turkey and Georgia.

You don't say how long you are going for and your budget, where you live. Clearly if you are living in Europe then Turkey and Greece are the less expensive trips. The cost to Thailand for the flight will be more expensive.
Are you wanting to travel around or stay in one place?
You could need a Visa check this out and if you need any inoculations, in some areas of Thailand you will need Malaria tablets for sure, these can be expensive.
You could have a good time in any of the countries but again it depends on your expectations of your trip.
My husband and I travel at the lower end of the market so use restaurants that the local people use, we use local transport all the time and only taxi if necessary.

turkey is rubbish. greece go there most years cuz no people but when u seen one bit of greece u seen it all. thailand amazin
Greece is major economic crisis right now .. if you haven't been keep up with world news. My family went there and had a wonderful time, but it is euros and if you intend to island hop .. it will be expensive.
Turkey is wonderful, most places are also on the euro .. so that would be also pricey. Istanbul and the east coast are wonder... So If you're looking for beaches you could have a hard time choosing. If you want cities then just stay in Europe. Thailand is yucky hot.
Thailand... cliche? Okay, whatever.. it's still more beautiful, and much cheaper than the other 2 options. True the flight may be more expensive, but if it works in your favor, it is a much better trip. There are things in Thailand that you will not get anywhere else. And the food is AMAZING.
- Note .. unless your going completely off the grid or plan on wondering around in a dense and humid jungle in Thailand .. you don't need malaria pills.. Or typhoid vaccine for that matter.. More travelers have issues with duenge fever, so bring mosquito repellent.
