I will be traveling in West Europe ( Paris, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona ) soon and just want to know what tourist apps are necessary to load on iphone? Maps, phrase books, audio guides? What are your favourite apps for travel abroad?
google maps, trivago/booking.com (accommodation), tripadvisor (reviews of attraction, restaurants and accommodation) and momondo (flights).
I would say:
- PocketEarth (very detailed maps you can download beforehand - then you can use offline without cellular data) - however, the interface is hard to use. See https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/pocket-earth-offline-maps/id481679745?mt=8
-snip-
Before travelling, I often use Tripadvisor to get review about tourist pont, hotel, restaurant in the place I will visit. And during the time of travelling, Google map is very usefull.
I would suggest the Google map best for all - the travelling app for iPhone. Mean while you can try to have the TripAdvisor , Perfect world clock (or other world clock apps -any work well), Time out apps etc.
THere are many travel apps for reviews like local reviews on Yelp, Google places, Facebook place, four square and many more.
I am a first time traveller to Europe we are planning a trip to London Rome Italy London and a couple of other countries we are looking at going in June can some one offer place to see and accommodation it would be a great starting point.
Thanks Toni
Google maps and Tripadvisor are two apps which you need to have
