Your british one should be fine actually, as long as it is in English.... otherwise, there is a massive building on George street, one block down from Martin's place where I think they can help with this. I can't think for the life of me of the name of that association now though...
Yeah pretty sure that your British licence will be sufficient. If not pretty certain you can pcik up an internation licence from the NRMA.
Can't for the life of my picture what that massive building is either...
are you thinking of the Australian Automobile Association?
You don't need one in Oz if your license is in English. Int licenses are merely a translation and evidence you are allowed to drive at home. If its an International driving permit you need then NRMA can issue these, but generally only to Australian license holders. If you want to visit them they are at 74-76 King St in the city, or 4-12 Waverly st, Bondi Junction.
Yeah, stop worrying, your British one is fine, unless you want it translating into an Australian accent...mate!
In fact Baywater on Williams st, where I hired my car from said when I offered to show them my licence, "Oh you'll only need that if there's a problem".
Drive safe.
Thanx a lot guys, sorry to confuse you all. know the brit licence is good here, but i actually want it so i don't carry my licence or passport into clubs, i just need it for ID, coz i look alittle young to some bouncers. ( and love clubing an drinkin,an will be bound to lose it)
