transportation information from kuala lumpur to bangkok

dear all,

Hi,

I would suggest you to travel by train because it is much safer and comfortable.

hope these websites help :

You can buy train ticket to Bkk from Butterworth or Hatyai. I am not sure if you can buy it from KL Sentral.

Good Luck

opospa

www.airasia.com for the very cheapest flights - book early to get the lowest fare

You can probably get an Air Asia flight for about £20. Otherwise, you'll have to bus it to Hat Yai from the Puduraya bus station in KL (from what I remember, it costs c.£8 from KL to Hat Yai), then jump on a bus to Bangkok from there (however, this is about 20 hr journey!!). Not sure about the trains.

Kindly take note that pudu raya is currently close for renovation.. so, if you were to take bus, you have to go Buit Jalil or Pasar Rakyat

If you're on a tight budget, take the nightrain from KL Sentral to Hat Yai, this way you'll save also a night accommodation.
In Hat Yai you can change to another (night)train, or you take the bus.
