I live in england and want to travel america for about 3-6 months with my mate. we thought about buying a used camper van to travel round in and save on hotels, but were now starting to think that hiring a car would be easier and stay in hotels. does anyone have a rough idea how much money we will need and any advice on where to go. would enjoy seeing the sights an meeting new people. plus some places with good night life as we are two young single lads lol.
Best place for single lads like yourself to meet people your age in the US is that same as in the UK--go to nightclubs, bars, college events, concerts, or hang out at regular meeting places (which in the winter would be some place like a ski resort or in summer at a popular beach).

Las Vegas, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Miami, Boston, Chicago, and Seattle
