We are planning a month long trip to Western Europe around March 20-April 20 and recognize that Easter weekend may be an issue. Since we are just now working out our travel route (using trains entirely), would there be a particular city that you'd recommend to spend the Easter holiday? We are worried about massive closures and, therefore, what would feel like "wasted time" when museums are closed, etc. We also recognize that this might be an opportunity to experience something special in a particular place, but don't know how to go about researching that. Will we have problems with restaurants all being closed, etc? My thought is to plan where we are spending Easter weekend (and book that hotel immediately) and then work out a logical route around that. Thanks for any thoughts you can share!
