As the subject of my post suggests, this is with regard to luggage storage in Frankfurt. I am doing a 3-week trip around eastern Europe in June. The trip is a stop-over on the way to India - where I will spend around six weeks. I am taking a suitcase to India since I am visiting family there. The last thing I want to do is lug that suitcase around eastern Europe. I was thinking of leaving the suitcase with friends in Frankfurt since that is where I am flying to. I figured I'd start the trip there, leave my luggage there, and then pick it up on my way to India since that is how my flight ticketing has been booked. It looks my friends will not be in town when I return to Frankfurt. I looked into he idea of luggage storage at the airport but that works out to 7 euros a night. Over three weeks, that works out to be prohibitively expensive. Do any of you know of any cheaper alternatives for long-term luggage storage in Frankfurt? Any input will be highly appreciated.
