Anyone thinking about travelling to Vietnam and Cammbodia Can you tell me the best reason travel there?

Between 30 day visa exemptions in Thailand.
Both countries are fairly cheap to holiday in and have a fair bit to see, notably Angkor Wat in Cambodia. For us from the north, I would expect hot weather between Nov-Apr, so escaping winter back home.

The very best reason to see Indochina is the wonderful people you'll meet there - generous and quite happy.

Cambodia. Nice constructions, nice people, and Angor Wat.
Vietnam is better developed, but people are mean (always want to charge foreigner price, and yell a lot).

They're not 1/4 as mean as most of the characters I encounter on a daily basis in the USA! True, Vietnam does have it's problems and several scams, but the majority of locals are just trying to keep their heads above water and are very nice.
Don't forget about Laos.

I haven't been to Vietnam (although it's next on my list), so can't help your with that. I loved Cambodia, the people are very poor, but always manage to smile and are very friendly. Siem Reap was where I went - for the temples of Angkor. Very popular and the temples are awesome. Sunrise at Angkor Wat, sunset at Phnom Bakheng and Angkor Wat.
The food is delicious and Cambodia is very cheap for travellers.

They are both fantastic places to visit, so different to England.

spent 1 month in vietnam and week in cambodia....lots of great reasons to go to either (try fit lao in aswell)
vietnam is very easy to travel in, really cheap and lots of great places to go/see ...... mekong delta, chu chi tunnels, motorbike trips, hoi an, halong bay and trekking in sapa.....just be wary of paying over the odds for hotels and trips ...always haggle
cambodia - just went to angor wat....you wont be disappointed
