Hi, along with my wife I am in the process of planning a trip to SE Asia. We'll be there for around 4 months along with a month in north India/Napal (and Oz). I absolutely love my sports, playing and watching so I am interested to know what like minded people do for a fix whilst travelling in this part of the world.
It's easy to find live sports venues with big screens in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. Premier league football, international rugby union, ARL, NRL, Basketball - just about anything is on. 2 major sports channels are ESPN and Star Sports. Cricket is a bit more of a struggle, but it is out there.
if you want to watch some live sports head for a night of muay thai boxing.
It's no problem to see live sports in SEA, or in bars, or in your guesthouse on satellite tv.
thanks for the info so far. Just to clarify I am looking to attend sport in SEA rather than just watching on tv. Another way to immerse myself in the culture I hope.
