Hi there, can any one suggest a good and cheao way to get from Frankfurt to Munich as well as good places to stay in both areas? What about adding berlin to the mix..is there anyway to travel to all three? Is renting a car the best option, train or a domestic airline?
The quickest option is an advance train ticket. It only takes about 3 hours.

my recommendation is
From Frankfurt to Munich :
"BAYERNTICKET" from Deutsche Bahn
it s a trainticket for the wohle state province of bavaria for one day. You 'll get it at the ticket automat ( train station) for 28,- Euros. You can use it from Kahl ( that s the first station in bavaria, from Frankfurt). A single ticket from Frankfurt Airport to Kahl does cost 7,15 Euro.
The Octoberfest start on the 18 th september.
From Munich to Berlin :
a cheap option by bus : https://www.berlinlinienbus.de/index.php?lang=en
For a cheap train ticket or flight you 'll need to book it , 2 or 3 months in advance .
