Anyone gone from Guyana to Venezuela recently.
Is there a ferry that goes from Guyana to Ven, as there doesn't seem to be a road linking the two neighbouring countries.
There is a road down Guyana to Brazil and then a road up to Venezuela alright.
As far as I know, the latter road you mention is still the one you have to take. Or fly, but not sure about connections.
So, how is Guyana itself? Regarding things to do, roads, safety in Georgetown etc?

Yeah I think I'll end up going to Boa Vista in Brazil and then up through Brazil to Venezuela.
Although I'll find out soon enough as I'm going to Guyana from Suriname tomorrow. It looks like the only bus that goes from Paramaribo, Suriname to the border with Guyana leaves Paramaribo at 4 or 5 am. Not really loking forward to that.
The road from Georgetown to Lethem on the Brazillian border is flooded at the moment. I've come back to Suriname and am going to fly to Trinidad, hopefully then take a ferry to Venezuela.
Flights out of Guyana are more more expensive and less options.
Georgetown is not a place I'd like to hang around waiting for anything. It's not a place I could recommend to people to visit.

No, I don't think so, even if the road to Kaieteur is impassible, people should still be able to fly to the airstrip near the Falls.
