Hey man..Totally down to do something this summer for a few months if your down. Would you be willing to do Central america or south America? My friend has told me that it is easy and cheap to do that area of the world and he has done it a few times. Looking for a partner or a small group....

I forgot about this site and post. I've actually got some plans booked with some people, however I am arriving in LA on July 3rd with no plans and not sure if I'll have any travellers with me by then. I'm planning on winging it in USA and going and doing whatever (I would like to explore California). My sister lives in Dallas, Texas and my flight home is from there sometime in September. All the details are on my blog

5th February = London Heathrow ✈ Bangkok, Thailand & Laos & Vietnam
16th April = Bangkok ✈ Sydney, Australia
17th April = Sydney ✈ Cairns, Australia
18th April = Grey hound bus pass, hop on and off East Coast, Australia
28th May = Melbourne ✈ Christchurch, New Zealand - With Campervan to Auckland!
25th June = Auckland ✈ Fiji
3rd July = Fiji ✈ Los Angeles, USA
July + August = Winging it in USA, but a general idea (LA, California, Dallas, Texas, DC, Baltimore, NY)
~ September = Dallas, Texas ✈ London Heathrow, UK
Sept/Oct = Home & Newcastle University!
Let me know if your still up for anything! (atm I'm just gonna be doing that then my own thing when I get to LA with other travellers that I meet, unless I make other plans beforehand!)

Well if you you want to ditch your plans in LA and get a flight down to Cancun for 100$ we could bus down to belize and some of Central america.....Then you could leave from Cancun and get a flight from cancun to NYC ( I live there) and it is only like a 130$ flight..Much cheaper than from LA...Let me know...

I'm flying from Bangkok to Sydney then to Cairns on the 17th April! How weird...and then I'm also using greyhound down the east coast. Oh and then going to Christchurch, then Fiji after that. See you there!

I'll try and let you know closer to the date Colin as I might meet other travellers with USA plans on my trip or others might join me in LA from my group etc.
Haha what are the chances! I guess I'll bump into you at some point then Rhian. Are you going solo or with people? who knows we might end up doing parts together!

Just checked my flights and I actually fly out a day before you, but at 6pm with Quantas! Yeah most probably! I'm going on my own yeah, thought it was the best way to do it. I've already booked my hostel accommodation for when I get there. You got any plans? I have no idea what i'm doing when I first get there!
Are you going solo for the whole thing or planning on meeting travellers when you get there? Yeah the say it's better to go alone than going with friends that you know, otherwise it's too easy and more of a holiday, and won't learn much from it instead of a crazy adventure!
I'm travelling with a group of travellers who I've never met, so she be a good experience, and it's all free will so can move on as I like.
The only plans we got booked is our flights to Cairns and our Greyhound Bus pass that we just hop on off going in a southwards direction on the coast. The pass gives us 10 days free accommodation I think. I haven't booked anywhere yet but my mate seriously recommended me Gilligans! I hear the diving at Cairns is a must do!
i've got that pass too, with the 10 nights included thing. I'm going solo for the whole thing, might meet a friend in Fiji but thats all. I'm doing an organised tour of South East Asia for a month, thats in a group. But Oz, NZ will be completely solo. How did you organise going with a group of people you've never met before? Sounds cool. I'm booked in for 3 days at the Northern Greenhouse- had good reviews on here and on hostelworld so I just went for it.
Yes, definitely looking forward to diving in Cairns! I wanna go to the rainforest too!
