Thanks Sander. Seems that even I don't follow everything here on TP
Any idea on that 'Clip to Evernote' thing?

Something else,
When I just went to TP I had to log in again, but if not logged in the first on top shows the recent event in the travelguide with a link.
If I am logged in it doesn't show it anywhere, and when trying the customize the page there is no option regarding the guide/event as well.
Might it be an idea to have that one as well, when logged in. It probably brings more traffic to the guide, which was much lower last month I noticed.

Did you click the "Clip" icon?

It brings up a window that says:

Evernote lets you save all the interesting things you see online into a single place. Access all those saved pages from your computer, phone or the Web. Sign up now or sign in below. It's free!

You get to save all the cool stuff!

Honestly, that's all I know about it.

Aha, ok. More of people who don't regularly visit TP I guess and want to store it somewhere else. Good idea, but I stick to TP

Just added the Clip to Evernote thing yesterday. It's really mostly targeted at anyone who might already be using that service.

What it would allow you to do is take a copy of the entire page into Evernote and store it in a folder there. Then if you have the iPhone/Android app, you can also easily access it from there. And it's all easily searchable from inside their interface. Not a bad way of organising information before heading on a trip.

Then again, I'm really also not sure how much it will get used. I'd like to have a similar thing available directly on Travellerspoint, at least as a way of bookmarking all the content you find on the site into one spot for easy retrieval or downloading later. But this was a quick thing to do that might help a few people.

The featured event can be added to your front page when logged in (and is there by default for people who haven't customised it). It's called "Today's Feature" in the dropdown I think.

Traffic in general goes down after the summer period. Not a whole lot we can do about it unfortunately. But you can always expect September to be a fair bit lower than August. It's better to compare to the year before. Here's the overall stats for the guide, which show a >20% increase:

September 1, 2010 - September 30, 2010
118,027 pageviews
91,775 unique pageviews
00:01:35 time on page

September 1, 2009 - September 30, 2009
97,108 pageviews
72,049 unique pageviews
00:01:21 time on page

This only includes urls starting with "/guide/". A decent increase.
