Is anyone of you out there happened to be a volunteer? How do I get to start off with it? Can you advise me on who to call, what agencies to contact.. just basically how to go about it.
I have a 1 week off each month and I would like to dedicate my time to it, helping kids, in particular, homeless children, who needs help, care and love, be it from my country or elsewhere.

I know organizations that have this programm of volunteering, i am member of a
church here in South America - Peru. and i'm trying to form my organization to
get resources from people due to my church doesn't have any help and children
that are part of it. I sometimes teach english free to children. You can find me in

Hey,
there's loads out there. Can I suggest you have a look online, maybe contact some places by email or letter that appeal to you.
I would recommend staying clear of the projects that get you to pay out loads and just stick to the basics, be prepared to pay for your way, accomodation food everything, offer maybe to do some fundraising for the project...
