Hi I just wondered if anyone had any advice on where to stay during the half moon party this march, if you have had a previous good experience somewhere or know of anywhere you would reccomend. I've heard best area to stay is ban tai beach by some people where as others have said that it's too close there and risk of burgalry. I've seen various beach bungalows that look nice but would like sum reccomendations off people who have had a great time somewhere for cheap. Also does anyone know whether I need to book a ticket for the half moon party (if so, how?) or whether you just turn up? Thanks in advance :-)
koh phangan cosy bungalows, http://www.phangan.info/phangancosy/index.htm i stayed here over new years 2009 and will return again this new years. 15 minuite taxi from the beach party. bungaloe staff are extremely helpful... they will sort anything for you ie tickets beautiful beach,l good music, great atmosphere and a crazy dog called baht 10/10 for budget accomadation.
Ko Samui is cheaper .. and you take the ferry over just for the party take it back in the morning.
