On my early trips in Bangkok, it was fascinating to watch many Thai men (shamelessly) bring a bunch of roses for their loved ones. Love is still very much alive and kicking in this fast-paced city.
Hmm, my two most recent valentines days abroad were a few years back.
On the first we actually kicked off the trip on the night of Feb 13th and arrived in Buenos Aires on the 14th. Spent the day walking about the city, drinking wine, eating steak and visiting Recoleta. Our romantic moment was starting the trip itself.
A year later, we were still on the road, in the top end of Australia and spent the day exploring Lichfield National park spending some time swimming in the Buley Rockholes and over at Florence Falls under the waterfalls. Lovely quiet and romantic at that time of year as it's certainly not high season for tourists during the height of the wet.
That night we drove to Kakadu and rented a little bungalow cabin there. Quite a nice place for a Valentines.
