Hi ! Just spent over an hour typing my recent blog entry (I have the "save draft while typing" box ticked) - when I finished I clicked on the "add photo" option and I got directed to log in again, once logged back in my entry has disappeared ??
With that option ticked it should have saved a draft entry under the list of entries (it'll say Draft behind the title). The fact that you were logged out doesn't bode well though as, if you have JavaScript enabled, you should never be logged out while typing a blog entry, no matter how long! So if you were logged out it indicates that JavaScript is not enabled on the computer you used and unfortunately it's javascript that also does the auto-saving, so it might not have saved at all
The entire box is shown with JavaScript, though (I purposefully set it up that way so as to not raise false expectations), so since it showed, JavaScript should have just been working regularly.
Maybe cbr600's internet connection had a long enough hickup that he was logged out because of it? (Which unfortunately would also break auto-save.) :/ Can't really think of anything else which could cause this...
OK - Thanks guys, maybe the intermittent Peruvian internet connection was the problem .... I think I'll opt for a "type in word then cut and paste" option next time ....right, now to remember everything I wrote the first time !!!!
