Not sure where to visit in Oz for a working holiday in Nov

Hello everyone.

If you google: farm jobs australia you get lots of results. See if you can get something lined up before you go so you can pick where you'll be.

But obviously large farms are not by the beach.

I think after a long day of hard work under the hot sun, surfing will be the last thing on your mind.

Thankyou

You might want to consider New Zealand. Its just as easy to get a work permit, but it has the advantage that if you work on a farm, its still really easy to get to a good surf beach. It's much cheaper to live. Much more relaxed life style and along the east coast are some easier surf beaches to work on until you are ready for the roaring west coast surf. You can do a year in NZ then head to Aus and do a year there.

Have a look at the Harvest Trail site and particularly the map -

While it's generally true that most farming jobs are not by the coast, there are of course coastal farms also. Maybe not quite as easy to get a job at, but they certainly exist. Otherwise, try find a town that's say an hour or two away from the coast and then you can still go surfing on the weekends when you've got some energy

Thankyou for all of your replies.

It'll only be for 6 months. I'm not looking into fruit picking, I was just giving an idea of how I would be up for doing anything job wise just to earn money to live off.

Will definately take NZ into consideration
