Anyone in Koh Phagnan at the moment? Who's here for the party?
I've heard the beaches are amazing too.
hey, not there atm, but been there 3 times.
book accomodation in advanced if not arriving there around 4 days befor,if u arrrive there few days b4 u should be ok.
the partys on the beach are everyday, but get so good around 2-3 days before
get to the party as earlie as u can, when gets to busy they sometimes start charging
try take something (bag or shorts with zips) to keep money in when at the party
dont worry if your on ur own, so many other people are to and usualy groups of travellers call peopel over to join them when u walk past

i also have a plan to visit koh phagnan after few months. i will remember theseadvices too!

one more thing for koh phangan, wen u get ur bucket of (whiskey coke) or whateva u drink, always ask to watch them open the bottle n make sure u hear teh seal brake, because if not they pour there own stuff in there n could make u ill so thats just a heads up

Theres a really good lot of hostels called Tao of love or dancing elephant hostel. The main guy who runs it is a french man called david, he's very good and he will get you alot of discount. been to the full moon a few times but be careful i spent 3 days in hospital in ko samui from stepping on glass. hope this is helpful.
Generally if you're aware of what you ordered and open em' urself or let them do it infront of you, u're fine.
Don't be so worried with everything because most ppl just try to give u a heads up n' many ppl r obsessed and worried about all of em'
I usually just go and stick to my group and have a good time - nth ever went wrong.
Don't forget to enjoy the ocean as well bcos thailand's got awesome beaches and that should definitely not be missed. Definitely enjoy Thai beer - bcos their just awesome and never get bored of em. I favor chang beer bcos it's just the taste i love. -snip-
I'm actually a fan of staying away from the party. I stayed at a beauty of a place on Thong Nai Pan, a sweet beach in the northeast. It was a 40ish minute boatride to the party. I like to alternate party and chill...
I recommend you to spend few days in Koh Tao before going to Koh Phangan.

I just moved recently to Koh Phangan, I will be here for a while. I bought many guidebooks and also maps to navigate me around, but really no need.
I am using a great app that I have downloaded from the appstore for free, to get around and get to know the place. It is called -snip-. Great. Also there are other like minded travellers, everybody is so helpful, so you get lots of recommendations here
If you come to the Full Moon festival, I recommend to arrive 2-3 days early, as it gets really busy here and all the places are fully booked...
