I am starting a two month trip around South America starting in Quito in December this year. My friend was supposed to be coming with me but now it looks like i'll be spending christmas by myself in Quito. Whilst i'm not massively sentimental about christmas i don't quite fancy spending it alone, and would love any suggestions for hostels where they may be having christmas festivities for other lone travellers like myself?
After the 28th Dec i'm flying to Cuzco where i'm meeting a friend, so it's really only the first week in Ecuador i'd need suggestions for?
I would also like to do some day trips into the rainforest and possibly go to the amazon - suggestions on these would be highly appreciated too!
