SE Asia Travels - have I missed anywhere out?

Hey guys
I'm traveling to SE Asia in February, for about 6 months, and am doing my planning. I think I have everywhere I want to see but I just want to know if anyone has any locations, which are good for tourists, that I've missed out. Here's my places:-

In Thailand I'd recommend visiting Khao Sok national park from Phuket - it's really pretty and worth at least a day trip. Also in Malaysia I'd highly recommend spending a few days in Taman Negara national park. It was the highlight of my month in Malaysia as it was amazing to be in the jungle. The Cameron Highlands are also worth a couple of days especially if you like walking.

Tibet and Sinkiang

Thanks Bex! Had a look into those places and they look awesome - i wanted to see more nature; only had one National Park down before. Plus they're also along the way of my travels so fill in some gaps :D Cheers
Tibet and Sinkiang will come when I tour the rest of Asia in few years

No problem, I've travelled pretty much the same route as yours so let me know if you need any more tips or advice

Well any advice, tips or heads-up about any of the countries and going around them will be highly appreciated! I've not done anything this big before xD

Ok here are a few more bits - I'll probably think of some other stuff at some point!

Pai in Northern Thailand is lovely; you can get there easily from Chiang Mai.

Don't miss the tubing in Vang Vieng. It's good fun and the scenery down the river is stunning. It normally takes a few hours and you can buy bottles of beer Laos from the bars along the riverbank.

In Vietnam, always agree a price with cyclo drivers beforehand. The Cu Chi tunnels outside Ho Chi Minh City are well worth a visit.

Allow a few days for Ubud in Bali - it's a cool place to hang out in for a while.

How are you getting over to Laos? A popular way to do it is to cross over the border in Northern Thailand and get the slowboat down to Luang Prabang, which takes 2 days. You can easily arrange this in Pai or Chiang Mai.

Add Mai Chau, near Hanoi, and Phu Quoc Island, off the Mekong Delta mainland, to your Vietnam list. Unless you know what you're doing, be prepared to be scammed by taxi drivers in this country. Cyclos (pedicabs) are also in the habit of scamming here. You really need to do your homework before attempting Vietnam - they can be aggressive towards travelers who protest.

(Vietnamese highways are among the world's most dangerous - avoid sleeper buses)
