Wildlife/Camping NSW

Hi, I am coming to OZ if a few weeks and would appreciate any advice or personal recommendations for good places to see wild life and any spectacular scenery. I will be landing in Sydney and intended to head up the east coast probably not much further than Brisbane but am happy to go inland by 100 to 150 Km if there is something special to see. I will have only a small car (i20) so any places that require a 4WD will have to wait till next time, I will be camping so I would really appreciate any recommendations of reasonably priced camp sites as I have a limited budget and would rather not pay more than 15 AUD a night. Kind regards to any contributors.Shane

There are a few decent camps in the Blue Mountains (west of Sydney) you can try:
- Euroka clearing in Glenbrook National Park, you're basically guaranteed to see kangaroos in the camping area, cost is about $10pp plus park entry
- Ingar camping area in Blue Mountains National Park (Wentworth Falls), nice and quiet with a swimming area, Free
- Perrys lookdown campground in Blue Mountains National Park(Blackheath) nice views, very quiet and secluded, Free

Info on the above is on the . If you need more info I live in the Blue Mountains, feel free to message me.

As you go up the coast there's some nice camping in the Myall Lakes National park, cost is generally about $10pp. You can camp next to the beach or next to the lake, mostly 2wd so the i20 will be ok.

you could also drive down to jervis bay in the ACT its only about 3 hour drive from sydney. it's a great place for camping and a lot of interesting wildlife
