I've just joined, logged-in and started mapping my "Round the world trip, Sept 2011 to Mar 2013" but I seem to be having a problem with the site. Twice, I've loaded 35 of my MANY destinations and twice the system froze and would not let me continue.
When I log back in, the trip has not been saved ! ! ! Very frustrating.
One of the admins will probably reply to this soon, but unless this is a known problem, a first question to help them figure out what's going on: Which browser (version) are you using when you have this problem? (Firefox? Internet Explorer 7? 8? 9? Chrome? ...?)
Hi Aline, Are you on an iPad by any chance? There was someone with the same issue last week and they were on an iPad, so I'm wondering if there is a problem there.

Not on an ipad; using my laptop via Internet Explorer. (Don't see any number attached to it)
Twice now I've entered about 35 of the (probably more than 300) stops I made during my Round the world trip, but it simply will not save.
How often do I have to hit save? After each location I enter?
You shouldn't need to hit save after each location. We're actively investigating this problem at the moment and have been able to reproduce the problem as well when adding 30+ stops.

Hi Aline, an update on this. We've just uploaded some significant changes that should improve the saving reliability considerably. There was a situation that we found which made it possible to leave the page before it was finished saving. This resolves that. I can't say for sure it's what happened in your case, but it seems a fairly good possibility.
You can try again if you like, perhaps with a few stops at a time initially to be sure it's saving along the way.
I have the same problem on my laptop and Chrome. First, many locations were not found and added only after 3 or 4 repetitions and then the whole trip was not saved at all. Indeed very frustrating. Any hope for improvements?
Hi Mika, the bugs were accepted as fixed a month ago, so if you are having problems with saving now then these are new issues that need to be looked into. Are you creating the map here on Travellerspoint or through the app on Facebook?
I created the map directly on Travellerspoint. Thanks for looking into this issue.
