Hello I was wondering if someone could advise on the best resorts for skiing in Europe at the end of March/beginning of April?
If you don't care about the costs, I recommend either Verbier or Zermatt.
easyjet could bring you to Geneva and from there it is about a 2 hour car ride to verbier (I think easyjet also offers some transportation to some ski regions)
In Zermatt there is skiing all year round (on the glacier) and the last couple winters showed that there is generally better snow in March or beginning of April.

The High Tatras of Slovakia might not have as wide a range of skiing as the Alps but the prices here are much better.

Poprad also has Aquacity http://www.aquacity.sk an all-year thermal water resort. Depending on group size and accommodation preferences, you can book a holiday cottage http://www.tatranka.sk , hotel or stay in a bed and breakfast (penzion in Slovak).

Hi! Last year in March I went skiing to Alpe d'Huez and Les 2 Alpes (France). Both ski resorts are above 1800 m with pistes on 3300m and more... I enjoyed very much. Hope you'll have a great time as well - if you choose any of these places or something else.

This thread is almost 3 years old.
I'd say the Sierra Nevada, in southern Spain, where you can combine all ski sports in very modern facilities in a wonderful area, so versatile that if you feel like, in march, you can go for lunch to the already nice and warm seaside and within 2 hours being skiing again.
