Wow. In my short 21 years on this planet this year will be the first time I will be outside the US for Christmas. No malls... no carols...no charlie brown,haha....no eggnog*sniff*sniff*...
It's funny being away from things that you have so grown accustomed to. It feels like summer...
I know how you feel - I'm used to it being cold around Christmas, so being in a hot climate at this time of year is always strange for me. I don't like cold weather but I really wish I was back home in Manchester at the moment for the great Christmas markets!
I started a last year.

mmmmmm....
yeah... I forgot to mention how much I miss snow. I just love the freezing cold. And now I am roasting. ugh!
but a new travel experience is always cool.

I still can't get used to Christmas being in the summer, as I said on this thread last year.
I started a last year.
Saying that, I do prefer new years in the summer!
well, there will come a time when the things that we used to do for certain things cannot happen anymore. for example, for this Christmas, I wont be able to go to the annual dinner/reunion our family and relatives will have. well, it is sad but we have to get through with it for various reasons.
I've never spent christmas away from Philly, but I did spend Thanksgiving in wellington, nz. It was weird, no pie, no turkey, no stuffing. Me and a few other americans got together and cooked, but, it just wasn't the same.
