I have a job interview coming up which I know I am pretty much guaranteed the job to say the least.
Australia is not so bad for 5 years. I mean there are a lot of great things to do and places to visit in Oz. I don't think you will get bored here. The only thing that I hate is when the heat wave is up. its hard to get out of the house...
What countries do we have to choose from? I like what Dnicholson suggested, but would like to know more about your options..
Hey Ed.....welcome back....long time no see!!!
Congratulations on the new job. If I had this opportunity, I would first research all the countries at my disposal and check for cost of living (housing, food, utilities, transportation) and then for what the countries have to offer as far as non-work activities (beaches, forests, urban exploration, "companionship", etc.). You have some work ahead of you, no pun intended. Do your research and be prepared.
Good to see you back. Keep in touch.

Ed, aren't you a very lucky guy.. being able to choose where you would want to work and live?! congratulations by the way!
Personally, I would choose a country which is far different from mine, different culture, people and lifestyle. This way you have more time learning and experiencing a different life from your own, probably it will make you understand your work and life better, give you a fresh new idea and make way to a more interesting and meaningful journey.
Which ever you choose, live the most out of it.
Countless questions need to be answered first, like do you need to save money...do you like the sun..how old are you, etc etc etc..too many questions are needed to be able to answer this question. I have just moved to S Korea because I need to pay off debts etc etc and that is why I chose Korea over say, Thailand...Everyone is different. Where you want to go is a huge question.
If I could choose anywhere in the world to live and work with no money problems would be totally different from where I would choose if I actually needed to make money .
A great problem to have though!!
