Have you met many odd people in your travels, either locals or fellow travellers? I've met a few, myself.
I think one of the oddest but wonderful people I met was a Japanese Man. He was a musican and wanted to sleep out on the street. He baught a guiter which took up most of his money. He had a guiter stolen so had to replace it. He was such a sweet man and what a talented singer and Guiter player

I wouldn't really call it weird but I would say interesting instead. I have met a few Asians who collects a lot of trash and they remake it into something useful. I have seen a lot of chairs and tables made out of tin cans. its like going to legoland or something.
I seem to meet people that inspire me. Usually they are guys in there 50's that are still playing outside. They surf, hike, down hill ski, travel, and have been mountain men. While they may not be as fast as they once were, they are still living life to the fullest. I hope I'm doing the same thing when i get older.
I like to think of it as meeting my future self.
