Cheap Stay in Central London

I'm going to London for a short stay and have been trying to search for a cheap stay and comfort for about 11 nights. Do you think I should hop from one stay to another or stick to one place? Any suggestions on any budget stay in London?

I'd probably try and get a place for the whole time, as I'm not a big fan of packing up everything again after a few days if I don't have to. Have you checked out the here on TP? We just added 30 more properties to the list today!! They're sorted by rating, and the ratings here are based on people that have definitely stayed at the property, unlike most other sites where anyone, including competitors and the front desk staff, can leave a review...

Thanks Sam Am I. That help a lot. Will check out the cheap hotel london. Thanks again.

On three occasions I have stayed at the Columbia Hotel on Bayswater Road. It is directly across the street from Hyde Park and one block from Lancaster Gate tube station. We walked a few blocks to Paddington Station to catch a train to Windsor. The Swan Pub is only a few doors away and there are a few restaurants within walking distance north of the Columbia.

The property is very old; clean, but somewhat shabby. I have stayed in both double rooms and quad rooms with our children. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms very clean. The staff pleasant. In 2008 I noticed a lot of painting and sprucing up going on.

Breakfast was included in our room price and is served in a large, sunny room. We ordered a full breakfast from a menu which was then served to us: eggs, meats, cereal, juices, coffee, toast, etc. The breakfast is quite good.

We have stayed here because of the good location & it's inexpensive. The last time I found a 'deal' on the internet reducing the price by about half.

We have also stayed at the Radisson Edwardian Vanderbilt on Cromwell Road in Kensington. Once again, I found an internet 'deal' which made it more affordable. I would love to stay here again. Small, but nicely decorated rooms in the Vanderbilt family's London mansion. A huge breakfast buffet was included with our room. The staff was the most kind and helpful I've EVER had in Europe. The subway station was 2 blocks away. Numerous pubs and restaurants were located a few blocks away. I would really hunt for a 'deal', as the Vanderbilt will be more expensive.

Hi kschick. Thanks for your say. Will check out those you mentioned. Thanks again.

I have stayed in London quite a few times with my husband and we have found that if you can stay a little bit away from the very centre then the hotels tend to be much nicer and cheaper, the tube is pretty reliable so we never found it a problem. If you're looking for hotels, always use a price comparison site. I either go for travelsupermarket.com or one of the hotels combined sites like hotelpricescanner.com. Have saved a lot of money over the years using sites like this

Have as fantastic time London is one of the greatest cities ion the world!
